Yes, it’s happening.
Recently, Deep Silver conducted a survey asking gamers what they would like in the collector’s edition of Saints Row IV in order to make it “worth buying”. Plenty of awesome data analysis later, fans now have the announcement they’ve been waiting for: the Super Dangerous Wub Wub Edition.
Priced at a reasonable $99 (for a collector’s edition, mind you), Saints Row IV ‘Super Dangerous Wub Wub Edition’ the game will include a 12 inch Dubstep gun, Dubstep Doomsday button, and a statue of Johnny Gat. Further, the features from the Commander in Chief version of Saints Row IV carry across, so buyers also receive alternate box art, an Uncle Sam suit, a ‘Merica weapon, and a Screaming Eagle Jet. I’m just going to reiterate the first part: a Dubstep gun. I could buy the game just for this.
Following in the footsteps of its predecessors, this game sounds over the top and insane, even without the ‘Super Dangerous Wub Wub Edition’. And not insane in a bad way either – a plethora of fans, old and new, eagerly await its August 20 release date (August 23rd for the Wii U). Saints Row IV will release for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and Wii U.
