It has been over 10 years since we saw Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. While many speculated that the ‘big announcement’ Blizzard would make at Blizzcon 2014 would be Warcraft IV, many fans were disappointed: it was only an announcement for their new IP, Overwatch.
For those of you who still quite aren’t over it, have no fear! Warcraft: Armies of Azeroth will be here shortly. Using Starcraft II, fans of the Warcraft series are hard at work, modding Starcraft II so that it can run Warcraft III. Only this time, its all shiny and new!

There is no official release date for the mod yet, but you can head over to their facebook page for regular updates.
In before the ‘Blizzard will take this down!’ comments: it was mentioned on World of Warcraft’s official facebook page, with ‘Woah…’ as the only text. I believe this translates into ‘Colour me impressed’, not ‘Time to get the lawyers on this!’
