Visceral has revealed a new game mode for Battlefield Hardline called Crosshair, described as the game’s “most hardcore and competitive multiplayer mode”.
Crosshair has one team of five Law Enforcers that are tasked with extracting a player-controlled VIP from one of two locations on the map, while the other team of Criminals has to either to kill the VIP or every one of the Law Enforcers. The matches last just three minutes and there’s no vehicles or respawns.
For the player controlling the VIP target, it’s a completely different gameplay experience than you may be accustomed to from past Battlefield games. Since you’re being hunted by Criminals, stealth will play a crucial role in you ability to survive and hide from the attackers. The VIP can also lead Law Enforcers to weapon stashes and is equipped with a pistol that can deal a high amount of damage to its target.
Battlefield Hardline launches on March 17th in North America and March 20th in Europe. Let us know in the comments below if you’ll be playing Crosshair mode when Hardline comes out.
