It shouldn’t surprise you to hear that Dying Light was the best selling retail game released in January 2015 in the US. Let’s be honest, it barely had any competition. But the achievement is still one worth recognizing considering the plethora of huge titles that were released late last year and have had to fill the other spots on the podium. For instance, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare currently sits in second whilst GTA V for the Xbox One and PS4 is in third.
In other news, Microsoft also enjoyed record sales for their Xbox One console in the month of January, despite continuing to play catch up with the PS4 which was ultimately the top selling console of January. Must be all those gamers splashing the cash that Santa brought them this year.
What do you make of all this? Do games like Dying Light sell more easily simply because they have zombies in? Let us know!
