44 pieces of day-one downloadable content are available for purchase for the 4 V 1 multiplayer shooter. If purchased separately, it could total an additional $136 to the likely $60 paid for the game. Most of the DLC is between $2 and $7.
Much of the DLC available for purchase include weapons and skins. There is a season pass available for $25 for future updates involving new characters and more. New maps will be made free for all players.
Earlier this year, Turtle Rock developer Phil Robb defended the amount of DLC announced for the game in a forum post after many fans expressed concern over the amount of paid content.
We’ve done everything we could to keep this stuff as open to choice as possible and despite how it may look to some, there isn’t anything here that forces people to spend more money than they are comfortable with.
