Sony sold 6.4 million PS4s and 147 million PS4 games during the company’s third quarter of their fiscal year.
Between September 1 and December 31 of last year, Sony increased sales on the previous year, which saw sales of 4.5 million PS4 consoles sold and 128 million games.
Naturally, PS3 sales were down, selling 1.1 million.
Sales for the Vita and Playstation TV were also down according to Sony. Units shipped of handheld devices totaled 1.4 million, down from 2 million from the same time in 2013.
The revenue of the gaming portion of the Sony company totaled $4.4 billion for the quarter. Total revenue for the company equaled $21 billion. The gaming division now makes up about 20% of Sony’s revenue.
