Destiny‘s reset has come and gone, which means Guardians from all around the solar system are returning to the Tower and stocking up on Synths in preparation for the Weekly Strike and Nightfall.
This week’s Destiny Strike features Valus Ta’aurc, the heavily armoured Cabal commander on Mars. Cabal majors and ultras generally sport Solar shields, while Psions are shrouded in Void shields, so it’s probably an idea to make sure members in your fire team have both types equipped – especially seeing as there’s no burn damage this week.
That’s right – for the second week in a row, Destiny‘s Nightfall features no burn damage. Fortunately, Valus’ Strike is far easier than Omnigul’s, so you should have a pretty easy time without it. Here are the full details on what comes with the Strikes this week:
Nightfall
- Epic – Heavily shielded and highly aggressive enemies appear in great numbers.
- Nightfall – If all players die, your Fireteam is returned to Orbit.
- Lightswitch – Minions of the Darkness deal much more melee damage.
- Angry – Minions of the Darkness won’t flinch, even after massive damage.
- Juggler – No ammo drops for your equipped qeapon
Weekly Heroic
-
Heroic – Enemies appear in greater numbers and are more aggressive.
-
Lightswitch – Minions of the Darkness deal much more melee damage.
An interesting note is that Reddit user Megamanexe4 – known for their predictions of Xur’s stock, as well as some leaked information on upcoming game modes – actually managed to leak the Weekly Heroic and Nightfall three days ago. Posting in a thread on Reddit, Megaman linked screenshots of themselves choosing the Valus Strike on Mars.
In other Destiny news, Bungie will allegedly release the long-awaited Update 1.1.1, which includes the Heavy Ammo fix and Heroic Strike matchmaking, among other features.
Who knows what next week will hold for Destiny players? Actually, Megaman probably does.
