Announced yesterday, and released today, ‘Jaws of Hakkon’ is Dragon Age Inquisition’s first piece of story DLC. Meant to fit neatly into your inquisitor’s journey, the DLC sees you and your inquisition faced with the challenge of uncovering the fate of the final inquisitor of the original inquisition, from which your organization takes its name. Though the trailer above gives a rather complete introduction, ‘Jaws of Hakkon’ gives players new enemies to kill and a large new area to explore in the southern mountains of Thedas, featuring even more gorgeous landscapes to get lost in.
Also revealed in the trailer, players are thrown into conflict with the hill-tribes of the Avaar, a group that appeared only briefly in Inquisition’s main campaign in The Fallow Mire region, where the player fought, and later sat in judgment of, an Avaar chieftain. A group of cultist within the Avaar, calling themselves the Jaws of Hakkon seem dead set on raising an all powerful dragon to destroy the world, a dragon already fought once by the final inquisitor over 800 years ago. Seems like something well worth stopping.
Jaws of Hakkon is out now for $15 on Xbox One, and PC. While no date is set as of yet for when PlayStation or last-gen gamers can expect to get their hands on it, hopefully it won’t be too long. To stay updated, make sure to ckeck back right here on Gamespresso.
