One of the highest rated Borderlands games – Borderlands 2 – has recently passed the sales figure of 12 million copies.
Combining its unique art style with an unpredictable loot system and the ability to roam around the world of Pandora with 4 players, Borderlands 2 was extremely well received by gamers and critics alike.
The news regarding the sales figures was announced by the CEO of Gearbox Software – Randy Pitchford himself – in a recent podcast, although it’s not clear as to whether these figures exclusively represent the sales of Borderlands 2 as a standalone game or if the sales from Borderlands The Handsome Collection (the recent coupling of both Borderlands 2 and The Pre Sequel) is included. Either way, it’s a pretty impressive milestone.
