Morrowind is getting a fan-made remaster

Ever wanted to step into the critically-acclaimed world of The Elder Scrolls III Morrowind, but been put off by its age-old graphics? I know I have, but we’re in luck!

Using assets and graphics from the fifth Elder Scrolls games – Skyrim – a community developer is recreating Morrowind under the name of Skywind as part of The Elder Scrolls Renewal Project. According to the developers, the game is some way off but a beta is planned at some point in the future.

So what will this remaster consist of? Well if the recent trailer is anything to go by, many of the locations from Morrowind are getting a visual overhaul, but it’s also worth noting the new assets and “dozens of weapons” that the developers are implementing.
