This weekend Microsoft was forced to cancel the Halo Championship Series Cup #1 due to technical issues. This tournament was to be held strictly online, via Xbox Live. Unfortunately, when it came time for the competition, players were unable to join parties to play. The announcement came from the official Halo Twitter account:
“We’re aware of and investigating party joinability issues. As a result, we’ll be canceling HCS Cup #1, and apologize for the inconvenience.”
This might put a bump in 343 Industries and their big Halo Championship Series plans started earlier this year. Hopefully this will all be sorted out before the next tournement is scheduled. Until then, the professional Halo players will just have to keep training.
