It is no secret that many Nintendo fans want to see Banjo and his birdie buddy, Kazooie, make their way into Smash Bros. in the upcoming DLC. So they were all pretty pumped when Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, said that there would be no trouble letting Banjo and Kazooie be playable characters. With that and fans having the ability to voice their opinions with the Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot, Banjo and Kazooie might finally get a chance to join the fight.
Even though Microsoft has no problem with it, Nintendo might not. Most of the characters already in Smash Bros. are used to promote upcoming games or titles recently-released on the Wii U and the Wii U Virtual Console. So in the end Microsoft-one of Nintendo’s competitors- would be the one benefiting. But, if Nintendo and Microsoft made a deal and brought Banjo and Kazooie back to Nintendo consoles, we could possibly see the duo making an appearance soon…
Banjo Kazooie is a important part of Nintendo’s history, starring in games that made the N64 the great console that it is today. The Banjo Kazooie games provide dozens of moves to pick from, making an easy and clone free moveset.
So Nintendo, what are you waiting for?
