Author’s note: Xur has arrived at the Tower for the weekend. If you’re after some Exotic gear, here is where you’ll find him and what he has for sale.

Now that Reddit’s Megamanexe4 can no longer reliably predict Xur’s stock, the infamous data-miner has turned his attention towards Destiny’s other weekly event – the Heroic and Nightfall Strike.

According to Megaman, next week’s Weekly Heroic and Nightfall Strike will be the Cerberus Vae III Strike, featuring tiny-headed Valus Ta’aurc. Interestingly, however, next week won’t feature any particular burn, which is both good and bad – good for avoiding serious damage from the enemies in the room and Valus himself, but bad for not being able to dish out extra damage to Destiny‘s most infamous bullet-spong

Making things more difficult in leu of an elemental burn are the addition of Juggler, Lightswitch, and Angry. Here is a breakdown of what you’ll face in the Nightfall Strike:

What makes the Angry buff more threatening than normal is the fact that Cabal Phalanxes won’t flinch when you shoot them, meaning you won’t have easy access to a headshot. Lightswitch is easy enough to escape, especially given the multiple ‘cheeses’ available for exploit in the Strike; though Juggler may pose an issue if players can’t safely escape to pick up some ammo from the ground.

The Weekly Heroic is a much safer Strike to tackle this week (especially following last week’s Void burn Nexus Strike), considering it only has the Heroic and Lightswitch buffs. To complete the Strike with minimal melee damage, I recommend using one of the ‘cheeses’ – either under the ramp or on top of the chandelier.

In other Destiny news, Bungie has announced that it will soon make the Cerberus Vae III Strike easier to complete by cutting Valus’ health down by a third and reducing Psion Flayers’ shields by 15%. This comes after the developer learned Destiny‘s Cerberus Vae III Strike is the longest, and least completed, Strike in the game.
