Fan Made Expansion to Half-Life 2 Awaiting Greenlight On Steam

Transmission also features a unique take on Half-Life 2's famous gravity gun, allowing players to scale over building and survive falling from great heights.

Transmission: Element 120 is a fan made game set in the Half-Life Universe. Taking place after the conclusion of Half-Life 2, the game puts players into an unknown time and location, leaving players to figure what there purpose in this area is. Transmission also features a unique take on Half-Life 2’s famous gravity gun, allowing players to scale over building and survive falling from great heights.
According to the game’s Steam page, it is “the result of over 2 years of nights & weekends creating custom levels, code, models, sounds, and more by a single developer.”
The game uses several updates to Valve’s source engine and features enhanced dynamic lighting, improved AI, and improved physics. Transmission is currently free to download for players, but Source SDK Base 2007 must be installed in order play it.
The game’s developer, who goes by shokunin000, is looking for fan support to get Transmission onto Steam. As of April 5, the game had already received just under 10,000 votes, more than tripling its amount of votes from April 2.

Neither Valve, nor founder Gabe Newell, seem to be shedding any light on whether or not the Half-Life 2 will get an official sequel.
