Ubisoft has revealed an entirely new trilogy set within the Assassin’s Creed universe, each installment exploring an entirely new location.

As previously confirmed, the first “chronicle” in the trilogy will take place in China, where players will witness the downfall of the Ming dynasty. The next two entries in the upcoming Chronicles trilogy will be set in Russia and India, taking players through the aftermath of the Red October revolution and the chaotic Sikh Empire.

The studio developing the upcoming trilogy is Climax Studios, who’s working on the games with the help of Ubisoft Montreal. Each entry will feature a 2.5D perspective, each with their own unique art style.

The first chronicle, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China, will launch on April 21 in both North and South America, with a European launch one day later, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The remaining two games, dubbed Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India and Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia, will launch separately sometime in the near-future.

Each entry will cost $10 USD and for those who purchased the Season Pass for Assassin’s Creed Unity, you’ll be able to download the first chronicle, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China, for free.
