Publisher Take-Two Interactive has revealed that nearly 52 million copies of Grand Theft Auto 5 have been shipped.
This number accounts for the game across all of its available platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and, most recently, PC.
Before today, the last update given on Grand Theft Auto 5 figures was in February where it was announced at that point, 45 million units of the game had been shipped, signifying that almost 7 million copies of the game have moved in the past four months.
The news came from Take-Two’s earnings report for the company’s fiscal fourth quarter which ended March 31. GTA 5 was announced as the leading revenue contributor, shortly followed by Grand Theft Auto Online.
Let us know if you’re one of the 52 million who picked up Grand Theft Auto 5 at any point, and more importantly, if you’re still playing it.
