ACE Team, developer of the games Rock of Ages and Zeno Clash, have decided to bring the game Abyss Odyssey to the PS4.
Abyss Odyssey is a surreal action-roguelike that was initially released in July of 2014 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The game received generally positive reviews due to its fun and engaging combat system, attractiveness and overall game-play. This apparently was incentive enough for ACE Team to decide upon making an enhanced version of the game.
The new and enhanced edition will be entitled Extended Dream Edition and will have many new features including a two-player online PvP and four-player local competitive modes. It will also include things such as new enemies, bosses and a new extra hard Nightmare difficulty mode. Players will also be pleased to know that they will be able to play as Golem form Zeno Clash 2. All of this will be served on a beautiful 1080p platter.
An official release date has not been made as of yet for the game. All that the developer has stated is that the game will launch “soon”. I will definitely be keeping my eyes open for any news regarding its release.
So, will this be a side-scrolling beat ’em up to remember, or should they have just left the original how it was? I guess we’ll have to wait and find out.
