Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is the upcoming spiritual successor to the legendary Castlevania series. It was recently announced that those who backed the PC version of the game could gain access to the title’s beta version.
Those who contribute $60 or more to the Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Kickstarter campaign will gain access to the game’s beta via Steam. Those who participate in the beta will get a chance to play an early version of the game, help squash bugs, and provide feedback. Unfortunately, the beta will only run on Windows.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is being helmed by famed Castlevania producer Koji Igarashi. The game has been a Kickstarter success, reaching its goal in less than 24 hours. At the time of this writing, the project has raised over $2,400,000, and still has over 3 weeks left in the campaign. The game follows Miriam, an orphan who was scarred with an alchemist curse which slowly crystallizes her skin. She must battle through a demon-filled castle summoned by Gebel, an old friend whose body has become more crystal than flesh.
