Xbox One users can currently listen to music while playing, but must do so through Snap. The problem is that this takes up a portion of the screen while playing. There is a demand for a background music feature, as more than 19,000 people have voted for “Play Music From Apps Without Snap (Background Music)” on the Xbox Feedback site.
Background music is not the only requested feature. Also on Twitter, another fan asked about the possibility of a feature that lets users broadcast party chat while streaming on Twitch. Spencer said that Microsoft is looking into how this could work, replying: “It’s a feature people have asked about, we are looking at what it would take to implement.” No further details were provided.
