For those who wish to play Fire Emblem If without too much of a challenge, there will be a “Casual Mode” where fallen ally units will be revived when the map is cleared. If will also have a new mode dubbed “Phoenix Mode,” where fallen units are revived on the next turn. While this may not seem like much of a challenge, the Black Kingdom, one of the versions of If, will present additional challenges, such as limited experience, and also additional victory conditions. Characters from the royal families will be able to use the “Dragon Pulse,” an ability that allows them to alter the battlefield. This can go from creating a bridge to causing an earthquake or flattening a mountain, providing many different changes to the maps.
Fire Emblem If is being released on June 25th in Japan. The game will be released in North America and Europe sometime in 2016. The game will be released on the 3DS.
