Heroes of the Storm enters open beta

Blizzard's upcoming free-to-play MOBA, Heroes of the Storm, has now entered open beta ahead of the game's official launch on June 2 and is now free to download and play via Blizzard's website. The game is set to enter a two-week open beta as formally announced last month, which was previously in a closed beta testing process for those who were invited after purchasing the game's Founder's Pack, a $40 bundle which included a variety of in-game content as well as an invite to participate in the beta.

Blizzard’s upcoming free-to-play MOBA, Heroes of the Storm, has now entered open beta ahead of the game’s official launch on June 2 and is now free to download and play via Blizzard’s website.

The game is set to enter a two-week open beta as formally announced last month, which was previously in a closed beta testing process for those who were invited after purchasing the game’s Founder’s Pack, a $40 bundle which included a variety of in-game content as well as an invite to participate in the beta.

Once the game launches on June 2, Blizzard intends to drop the “beta” tag on Heroes of the Storm and will get to work on releasing new characters and maps intended to release in the near future. The game is described by Blizzard as a “fresh take” on the MOBA genre, offering a more refined experience for players that set it apart from its competitors League of Legends and Dota 2. “Heroes of the Storm concentrates the intense battles and back-and-forth gameplay of online brawlers into fun, quick, action-packed matches,” Blizzard states on the game’s official webpage.
