Here’s something to warm you up to Jason Voorhees hitting the MK scene.
Warning: Contains scenes to machete/throat interaction
Anyone that sprung for the Kombat Pack season pass will be able to get their classic slasher action on tomorrow as they play as Jason Voorhees himself. If that wasn’t enough, season pass holders will also be receiving the Horror Pack; three new horror themed costumes: Vampiress Mileena, Kraken Reptile and Pharaoh Ermac.
Anyone that missed the memo and didn’t grab the Mortal Kombat X season pass can still get the content, just at a later date. May 12 is the day we’re looking at for the rest of us to get our slashy slashy on. Jason will selling individually for $5, while the Horror Pack will be going for $4.
This marks the drop of the first DLC pack for Mortal Kombat X since its release last month. Looking ahead, we can look forward to Tanya making her return as a playable character, along with the Predator and Tremor. Plus a whole host of costumes (including Carl Weathers as Jax).
Freddy Krueger graced the frames of Mortal Kombat 9 and was solid as a standalone character despite the obvious novelty. It will be interesting to see how figures like Jason and the Predator work out for Mortal Kombat X in the coming months.
