Earlier this week, Konami teased the world with a strange announcement on their Facebook page. The page simply showed this picture with the caption, “Step back into the 80′s with our new MGS collection coming very soon! Stay tuned!”
Well, it looks like they weren’t kidding when they said “very soon.” As many had speculated, it is a clothing line after all. Today, Insert Coin has revealed the first pieces to Metal Gear Solid: The 1984 Collection. All of the shirts and jackets contain the symbol for the Diamond Dogs, an organization to appear in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
This is no coincidence, considering the latest game in the Metal Gear Solid franchise is set in the year 1984 and is to be released this September for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
