Phil Spencer demands less remasters
The majority of us gamers are sick of remasters and remakes, right? Thankfully, it looks like Phil Spencer of Microsoft eyes a step in the right direction for the Xbox.Despite recently stating that there are "lots of 360 games I'd like to bring to XB1", he went on to rather encouragingly point out that there is "only so much time and [we] want to focus on making new games. Not easy tradeoffs." This was in response to a tweet asking Spencer about the prospect of bringing Fable Anniversary to Xbox One (don't forget, this game is a remaster of an original Xbox game on the Xbox 360 - do we need another?).

Hopefully Spencer’s recognition of prioritising new brands and IP’s over remastering old favorites will encourage tons of new ideas and games being published on the Xbox One.
I’ve been impressed by Microsoft’s philosophies and responses to feedback of late and this is another step in the right direction. What do you think? Are you delighted to hear what Phil has to say on the topic of remasters or have they come in handy for you recently?
