With The Witcher 3’s release nearing ever-closer, the opening cinematic for the game – shown prior to the title screen – has been released online, or at least, most of it has.
Quite why the cut-scene appears to cut out before reaching a conclusion, I couldn’t tell you, but the player’s prompt sends them to the title screen before quickly choosing to click what I can only assume is a “new game” option or words to that effect (I don’t know, I don’t speak Arabic (the game was accidentally sold in the United Arab Emirates early last week)). At which point, another new cut-scene starts before the video ends full stop.
The cinematic itself seems to provide a brief recap on some of the events that occurred in the previous The Witcher games – a useful feature for newcomers to the series.
So whilst it’s not in all its glory, this is as much as we’ve got so far in regard to the very beginning of the game so check out the video below. Still, there’s not long to wait until we can all get our hands on it for ourselves!
