With yearly release cycles comes the inherent problem of trying to keep things fresh. Ubisoft face that very problem like clockwork with its Assassin’s Creed franchise. Though with the latest instalment they’re looking to mix things up a bit.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will be the first to include a playable female character, it will also be the first to include vehicles, and as reported by Gamesradar, this will be big for the series.
Regarding the carriages, trains and boats that will feature in the game, Creative director Marc-Alexis Cote (talking to Official Xbox Magazine), said:
Vehicles are so intrinsic to the gameplay experience that they will profoundly change the way people play the game.
He went on to say:
Players will obviously be able to drive through the city but they’ll be able to hop on top of their carriage and jump from carriage to carriage. They are dynamic platforms that the player can jump on. The player will be able to kidnap people and throw them in the carriage. You’ll be able to hide in the carriage, so they will act as moving hiding spots.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will be released on 23rd October this year for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
