Ratchet and Clank has been a PlayStation staple for years. The series has had a number of titles released, and will be receiving a re-imagining next year. Now, a trailer and a few details for the upcoming game have been released.
The new title, simply called Ratchet and Clank, is more than just an HD remake of the original game. The release will add plenty of additional content, and will coincide with the upcoming movie based on the series. The trailer has dubbed the title as “the game, based on the movie, based on the game trailer.”
Including a big boost in visuals, Ratchet and Clank will include a wealth of new content, including new planets, bosses, weapons, and a modern control scheme. Weapons include classics from some of the past titles, such as the Groovitron that forces nearby enemies to dance, as well as brand new weapons. The Bouncer weapon from Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando will be available, but only as a pre-order incentive.
Ratchet and Clank will release in Spring of 2016 for the PlayStation 4. The accompanying movie releases on April 29th, 2016. The game will be playable at E3 next week. A price for the game has not been announced, though Amazon has the game listed for $40.
