It doesn’t matter what console Lara Croft arrives on first – she never has a relaxing day.
Gameplay footage was finally revealed for Rise of the Tomb Raider – the game that is coming as a timed exclusive to Xbox this year – November 10 actually (the same day as another small game this fall).
The video shows Lara – with a companion – traveling up an mountain in the cold tundra. While she sports a new short haircut (gotta look fashionable while raiding tombs), she begins climbing the side of the wall of a mountain, only to get to the top and lose grip and fall off.
Her companion helps her swing over, and while everything seems safe for a few moments, Lara gets in front of an oncoming avalanche (she just cannot win).
While the majority of the video is close calls for her, the end of the video shows zip lining, exploring temples, swimming, and well, just about dying at every turn – all things we have come to expect from the Tomb Raider series.
