Following the game’s E3 trailer at the recent PC gaming show, ArenaNet, the developers behind Guild Wars 2, announced the game’s first expansion, Heart of Thorns, is now available for pre-purchase.
While there is still no word on a release date, nabbing one of the pre-purchase packs before release guarantees you access to all beta weekends in the run up to launch.
Starting at $49.99 for the standard edition, which includes Heart of Thorns and the core game if you didn’t already have it, there are two more levels after that. The deluxe edition, for $74.99, packs in the standard edition, an additional character slot, a miniature revenant Rytlock, a revenent finisher, a Mordremoth’s bane guildhall decoration, and a new Heart of Thorns glider skin. And, for the truly committed, the ultimate edition, coming in at $99.99, comes with all those in-game goodies, plus 4000 gems. The gems, if bought separately, would cost roughly $50.00 on their own.
