The Limited Edition of Batman: Arkham Knight has been delayed at many retailers.
Set to be released alongside the standalone game tomorrow, June 23, the Limited Edition of Arkham Knight will not be arriving on release day to many of those who pre-ordered it at both Amazon and GameStop, according to Eurogamer.
Set to include a steelbook case, art book, comic book, skin pack, and Batman statue, the Limited Edition “will be delayed as the manufacturer has advised us that there’s been a packaging quality issue,” according to an email reply from Amazon. “We want to ensure that your order reaches you in pristine condition and your item, with the updated packaging, should be with you no later than July 14, 2015.”
While it may be an aggravatingly long wait to get your hands on Arkham Knight until that time, both retailers will reportedly send download codes for copies of the game to those affected by the delay.
This edition of the game isn’t the only one that has faced problems. The Collector’s Edition, which included a bat mobile statue, was completely canceled last week due to “unforeseen circumstances” as a result of quality issues during manufacturing of the product.
Batman: Arkham Knight comes to PS4, Xbox One, and PC tomorrow, June 23. Let us know if you’ll be getting (one of the many versions) of the game, and check out all of our coverage before you dive into Gotham:
