Earlier in the week, we had found leaked screenshots and design concepts from a video by The Know. However, many were expecting the announcement to occur sometime during E3 next week. However, sources at IGN have received a Dark Souls 3 promotional image for E3, with the text “Early 2016” below.
The picture shows a tattered warrior kneeling down and holding something in his hands. In the background, the scenery almost looks like the Kiln of the First Flame from the first Dark Souls. Thankfully, Hidetaka Miyazaki will be heading the development of this sequel, after Dark Souls 2 being directed by Tomohiro Shibuya and Yui Tanimura. From Software will be announcing more information about Dark Souls 3 later at E3.
Are you excited to see Dark Souls 3 at E3 this year? Or do you feel that the Dark Souls series should be left alone? Sound off in the comments!
