Bungie, the developer behind Destiny and the original Halo games, has filed for three new trademarks for something called ‘Eververse’.
All three trademarks were filed near the end of May, all referring to ‘Eververse’ in some way. The first trademark was specifically filed to cover the basics: video game software, promotional materials, toys, and so forth.
The second one however, called ‘Eververse Trading Co.’, may point to more lore for Destiny if this isn’t for a new IP, or story related characters. They could even be prepping for an in-game auction house feature.
Bungie has been busy preparing for Destiny’s next big expansion now that House of Wolves is out, which is rumored to be called ‘The Taken King’. With E3 right around the corner, we may get some more answers soon as to whether or not ‘Eververse’ is related to the upcoming expansion or not.
Let us know in the comments below what you think the new trademarks may be for.
