Destiny's The Taken King due out on Sept. 15th

During the PlayStation E3 conference, Bungie revealed a trailer for the upcoming expansion for their sci-fi shooter, Destiny. The expansion, named The Taken King, is due out later this year on September 15th.The Taken King introduces a new boss in the Destiny world, Oryx. If that name sounds familiar, its because it is: Oryx is the father of Crota, the Hive god that Eris Morn has warned us about nearly 400 times. With him, Oryx seems to be bringing the baddest of each of the alien species that already exist in the game - that should make for interesting gameplay.

The trailer also highlights something all Destiny players have been hoping for since the game launched: new supers for all Guardian classes. That’s right: Hunters will have a Void subclass, Titans will have Solar, and Warlocks will have Arc. There will also be new weapons, armor, and other gear to get – plus, it looks like there’ll be a new area for people to explore.

At the end of the trailer, we get to see a Destiny Legendary Edition, which will include The Dark Below, House of Wolves, and The Taken King expansions. If you still haven’t picked up Destiny, or you just like collecting, that would be a nice addition. Plus, if you pre-order the expansion or Legendary edition, you get access to some new weapons.

We didn’t see a price for the new expansion, but previous reports pointed to a $40 price tag. Either way, it comes out later this year on September 15th. For more E3 news, stay tuned to Gamespresso!
