The Xbox 360 might have dominated the early indie market with their Summer of Arcade, but Sony’s definitely been able to sit on the indie throne for the eighth generation. Devolver Digital has announced four titles for the Playstation 4 during Sony’s E3 2015 presentation: Ronin, Eitr, Mother Russia Bleeds, and Crossing Souls.
Ronin is a 2D turn-based action and stealth game. As a ninja, your job is to take revenge on five heads of a corporation using the skills and gadgets she has.
Eitr is a pixelated cross between Dark Souls and Norse mythology. Not much else is known other than the definition of eitr, which is the liquid the Norse believed started life.
Mother Russia Bleeds, according to their website, is “an unrelenting, ultra-violent Beat ‘Em Up, brimming with hard-hitting action and game altering psychedelic twists.” It looks like they took much inspiration from 90’s shooter gore, as the game is filled to the brim with pieces of flesh and blood.
Crossing Souls is a more plot-driven game focused on the lives of a group of Californians after they discover and open an ominous artifact.
The announcement trailer that Devolver Digital showed at E3 2015 is below, catchy music and all.
