A Fallout fan found the time to collect and send 2,000 bottle caps to Bethesda Game Studios because why not. The fan received praise from developers in the form of a free copy of Fallout 4 upon release.
In a Reddit post, it was revealed that community manager Matt Grandstaff had e-mailed the fan to offer him a free copy of the game as he was the first person who did this:
“He told me since I was the first person to do this, I would be receiving a copy of the game this November, and that he would be running my caps over to deposit them at the People’s Bank of Point Lookout.”
Matt posted on Twitter that he had received the boxes:
The fan posted on Imgur around two weeks ago that he had been “saving” 11.2 pounds of bottle caps culminated from his 7.5 years of student drinking. He had been hoarding just because he was a fan of the series but sent them off intending to receive a free copy for his efforts and his wish came true.
