Taking the stage at Sony’s E3 press conference, DICE finally unveiled the first footage and information surrounding Star Wars Battlefront’s cooperative missions. Meant to be “deep and highly replayable,” these mission can be played alone, splitscreen, or online.
So far DICE has mentioned three types: Battles, “where you and a friend going head-to-head, supported by a team of AI,” Hero Battles, where players take on the roles of iconic heroes, Trails, skill challenges that push you to master aspects of the game, and finally, Survival, the mode debuted in the trailer below.
In the footage we see two player-controlled rebels facing down waves of AI stormtroopers, and even an AT-ST, all while trying to defend a point on Tantooine.
Last week it was confirmed that the missions maps would be separate from the 12 maps making up the game’s multiplayer. And, if you missed it, be sure to check out the multiplayer footage also shown at E3.
