The first chapter of the reimagined King’s Quest games, developed by The Odd Gentlemen will be released next month in July. The game follows an episodic format and we will see various chapters being released over the coming months.
As it came to reveal, the developers were keen to point out that this is not a children’s game, but it is a family game. Meaning there will be nothing unsuitable for children in King’s Quest, however the puzzles should be just as challenging as ever. Along with this the developers felt that the game should be something for the whole family to enjoy.
King’s Quest: A Knight to Remember has an episodic format containing five episodes or “chapters” as the developers prefer them to be called. In the first chapter we see our King Graham, though not quite yet, proving his worth to become a knight to King Edward. This all while being told by old man Graham in the future and recounted by a magic mirror.
Publisher Sierra announced the first chapter would be making it’s way to last gen and current gen consoles in late July. More specifically the game will appear on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
