It’s been confirmed through the Playstation Store that Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain will contain some ‘optional’ in-game purchases.
This confirms some suspicions from recent previews of the game. Yesterday this ‘feature’ for the game was only found on the Italian Playstation store however it can now be found on other Playstation stores.
So far there has been no hints as to what these transactions could be for and it does raise more questions about the nature of the fallout between Konami and Kojima. Hopefully Konami will expand on this new update about Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain and provide more information on the nature of these microtransations. At least the transactions will be ‘optional’.
Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain is due for release September 1st on PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 and September 15th for PC via Steam.
