Microsoft promises an "exceptional year" for gamers
Xbox boss Phil Spencer has assured gamers that Microsoft and Xbox will have an "exceptional year" thanks to the progress of the Xbox One, PC and the upcoming launch of the Windows 10 OS.
Xbox boss Phil Spencer has assured gamers that Microsoft and Xbox will have an “exceptional year” thanks to the progress of the Xbox One, PC and the upcoming launch of the Windows 10 OS.
Despite the delay of some games for the Xbox One, Spencer commented with a post on Xbox Wire stating; “This has been a great year for gaming at Microsoft, and it’s only going to get better in the coming weeks and months,”
“With the greatest games lineup in Xbox history coming to Xbox One this year, and Windows 10 being the best operating system for gaming we’ve ever released, this is going to be an exceptional year for gamers.”
Microsoft have a lot lined up for E3, including Halo 5: Guardians, Fable Legends, Forza Motorsport 6, Rise of the Tomb Raider and the possibility of a Gears of War Remastering. Along with all these titles Microsoft have also teased at a new IP being announced at E3, as well as the possibility of further game announcements for the Xbox One and PC.
Windows 10 will be released on July 29th, with Windows 7 and 8 users being prompted to reserve their free upgrade to the OS via their desktop.
Microsoft’s E3 briefing is set for Monday June 15th at 9:30am PDT.
