Mods might come to Just Cause 3 on consoles

Just Cause has always had a modding community, and developer Avalanche is trying to continue that with their upcoming title Just Cause 3. The developer might even be looking into bringing the mods to consoles as well.During an appearance on GameSpot's E3 2015 stage, Avalanche director Roland Lesterlin said that the studio is working on expanding mod availability, and that the studio is thinking about bringing that support over to consoles. When asked about Fallout 4's mod support on the Xbox One and if Avalanche has similar plans, he states: "We've been wanting to do quite a lot of that stuff for awhile. We're not announcing anything there yet, but... we would want to support [mods] as much as possible."

Just Cause has always had a modding community, and developer Avalanche is trying to continue that with their upcoming title Just Cause 3. The developer might even be looking into bringing the mods to consoles as well.

During an appearance on GameSpot’s E3 2015 stage, Avalanche director Roland Lesterlin said that the studio is working on expanding mod availability, and that the studio is thinking about bringing that support over to consoles. When asked about Fallout 4’s mod support on the Xbox One and if Avalanche has similar plans, he states: “We’ve been wanting to do quite a lot of that stuff for awhile. We’re not announcing anything there yet, but… we would want to support [mods] as much as possible.”

If Avalanche does bring mod support to console, they will not be the only ones. At E3, Fallout developer Bethesda announced that they will be bringing Fallout 4 mods over to the Xbox One. Since Microsoft is helping Bethesda, the mod support will only be on the Xbox One for some time after release.

Just Cause 3 launches on December 1st. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
