Monolith Soft wants to assist Nintendo with Zelda Wii U
Having released their latest hit; Xenoblade Chronicles X in Japan and receiving very positive feedback and reviews on the game, Monolith Soft must be feeling on top of the world right now. The team is currently working hard on their localized release to the west in December this year; and in the midst of this, they've spoken to Game Informer regarding their current dealings with Nintendo. The interview talks about how the team, throughout its production cycle for Xenoblade Chronicles X and their previous titles, have had a chance to identify and tackle the many issues that come about from creating an open world environment. Stating that: "When we’re able to share those documents internally, they’re going to go to all the other teams so they’ll be able to draw from them and I hope that those guys working on that game will be able to benefit as well". It's rare enough that developers share their resources let alone lend a helping hand in order to help their fellow developers.

When asked if they would like to assist in the new Zelda title on the Wii U especially considering their assistance with Skyward Sword, they’ve said: “I would want to say that Monolith Soft is always available and we would love to help anytime people ask us.” Reassuring to hear from a company that is doing quite well with the open world adventure platform; hopefully Nintendo will make use of their assets; especially with the amount of time they’re taking for Zelda Wii U.
How do you feel about Monolith contributing towards Nintendo? Do you think it’s worthwhile or do you believe Nintendo should just be left to their own devices? Let us know.
