Platinum Games expected to show something new at E3
The developer Platinum Games, the developer behind Bayonetta, Wonderful 101, and Metal Gear Rising: Revenge will be revealing an unannounced title at E3. According to what IGN says, it is not the title that we already know about, Scalebound, and is something new from the studio. Scalebound was announced during Microsoft's press conference at E3 2014, and the project director said it was new territory. It aims to "create new gameplay" he said, among other things."The one thing that I will say is that up until this point in my career, and up until this point in Platinum Games' history, we've never made a game like Scalebound. What I'm trying to do with Scalebound is create a very different kind of game than what I've created up until this point. We're trying to create new gameplay, and that is a challenge for me personally." said Kamiya last year. This title, Scalebound, is going to be an Xbox One exclusive, something else I'm pretty sure the company has not done much of. But, they said this system should help make the graphics visually impressive.

“The one thing that I will say is that up until this point in my career, and up until this point in Platinum Games’ history, we’ve never made a game like Scalebound. What I’m trying to do with Scalebound is create a very different kind of game than what I’ve created up until this point. We’re trying to create new gameplay, and that is a challenge for me personally.” said Kamiya last year. This title, Scalebound, is going to be an Xbox One exclusive, something else I’m pretty sure the company has not done much of. But, they said this system should help make the graphics visually impressive.
“We’ve never tried to do something photo-real or something more realistic with that touch, but it’s always been something I’ve wanted to try. Now having that opportunity has been both difficult but interesting. And the power of the machine is helping there” Kamiya said. The creative producer also added that it was an “important step” with Platinum’s legacy to work with Microsoft.
I wonder if this new game will have the same general concept as Scalebound. They seemed so interested in this new style, I feel like they will keep it for the newer game. I’m wondering about the specifics of it, because they’d have to do something different than Scalebound but in the same general idea if they wanted to stick with it. I hope it’s not for only Xbox One, even though their reasoning behind that choice is solid. I guess we’ll find out at this year’s E3!
