Only days after E3, Sony has announced the 1TB Playstation 4 Ultimate Player edition. The console, which doubles the size of the in house storage, will launch in Europe and select PAL regions next month.
Playstation 4 and Xbox One are both making upgrades to 1TB storage, while keeping the 500GB model on the market for those with a lower budget. Although 1TB seems like a good starting memory size, if you have Playstation Plus or Xbox Live subscriptions, you’ll be getting free games each month.
Additionally, its a recent trend to always have DLC on the way – and Day 1 patches are increasingly popular. The ability to update and hotfix the game at any time will eat up your storage as you go.
If you’re looking to purchase a lot of digital games, you might want to look into a external hard drive shortly after purchasing a console – 500gB or 1TB.
