Playstation Network recovers after down time
The Playstation Network went offline yesterday as many people were unable to sign in to their accounts. There was a message from Sony on their website acknowledging the issue and assuring players that they were working to fix it. The Playstation Twitter account also posted "We are aware that you may be experiencing issues with PSN. Thanks for your patience as we investigate".
The Playstation Network went offline yesterday as many people were unable to sign in to their accounts. There was a message from Sony on their website acknowledging the issue and assuring players that they were working to fix it. The Playstation Twitter account also posted “We are aware that you may be experiencing issues with PSN. Thanks for your patience as we investigate”.
The Network going down meant that people could not access their accounts, the Playstation Store and online games such as Destiny were unplayable. The areas that were affected were listed on the Playstation Service Status page. They included account management, gaming and social, and the PlayStation Store. Sony admitted that the issues were outside of their control, stating “This is due to factors external to PSN. We are tracking the progress of the resolution of the issue”.
Since the network went down Sony have been able to fix the problem, The Playstation Network is currently available.
