To celebrate the 5th year anniversary of PlayStation Plus, Sony is surprising original subscribers with a little something special.
Those who have been with the service since its launch in June 2015 have begun receiving emails from Sony detailing an extra gift just for those who have been along for the ride the entire 5 years.
“Today marks the 5th anniversary of PlayStation Plus and we’d like to thank all of you for being part of five fantastic years,” the PlayStation Blog from Europe reads. “PS Plus has provided SCEE members with over 350 games since its launch on 29th June 2010 and continues to offer hand-picked titles for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. That’s a lot of games!”
Those who will be receiving a gift will receive an email with details about a limited edition gift coming in the mail, the message reportedly reading, “Your print will be unique to you and show everything you’ve achieved as a Playstation Plus member. We’re proud to have so many dedicated players who have been with us since the beginning. Thanks for being part of five fantastic years!”
PlayStation Plus is now required for online functionality, but also gives subscribers free downloadable games each month on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita. Special discounts are also available in the PlayStation Store to those who subscribe, as well as 1 GB of cloud storage for save files.
