Project Cars has torn off the start line and is continuing down the course at a phenomenal speed. Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe and Slightly Mad Studios have today announced that Project Cars has already sold more than one million units worldwide.
Project Cars has earned these sales with a strong launch and being well received by both fans and critics alike, as well as being the highest rated racing game on the PlayStation 4 at this time.
Ian Bell (Studio Head of Slightly Mad Studios) says: “Throughout the development of Project CARS the community were instrumental in guiding the game – giving us feedback daily on each build iteration, telling us what needed improving, highlighting what they’d like to see included, and ultimately approving it as the racing game of their dreams.
“To now stand here having reached over a million players in such a short time really justifies the work both the team and the community have done over the years and solidifies Project CARS’ future as the multi-platform racing experience of choice for fans around the world. And we’ll be talking more about that future very, very soon”
Project Cars is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC systems via Steam. A Wii-U version of the game is also in development but may never see the light of day. Slightly Mad Studios have instead said that they are looking at the new Nintendo system, codenamed NX, as a potential platform.
