Shots fired in GTA vs. Assassins Creed
Patrice Desilets had some bold statements in next month's issue of Game Informer. The mind behind the Assassin's Creed franchise has vowed to make the "Titantic" of video games. Desilets believes the biggest way to dismiss the fear of interactivity for some fans is to introduce fresh and unique subject matter."We can't have the same subject matter in movies in video games because of the nature of the medium," he added in his Game Informer interview "We ask a lot from the machines, and it's tough to portray subtleties from with those machines. But the subject matter comes from the human condition--that interests a lot of people. The subtleties cannot be portrayed well in games yet, so we're stuck with some subject matter."

Desilets later goes on to say that developers need to pay as much attention as they do to the actual storyline, as the do to the actual gameplay. After his firing from Ubisoft in 2013, Desilets has been working on an upcoming project titled Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey.
