Since The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt released in May, developer CD Projekt Red has been giving out free pieces of DLC for the game. This week’s DLC has now been revealed.
This week’s DLC content includes the Skellige armor set, and a Skellige’s Most Wanted contract.
CD Projekt Red plans to release sixteen free expansions for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The first two, The Temerian Armor Set and the Beard and Hairstyle Set were released when the game launched on May 19th. The remaining DLC packs will be released throughout June and July.
CD Projekt Red co-CEO has mentioned that the studio is giving away free DLC as a way to thank fans for purchasing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. He states: “As gamers, we nowadays have to hold on tight to our wallets, as surprisingly right after release, lots of tiny pieces of tempting content materialize with a steep price tag attached…This is our way of saying thank you for buying our game.”
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. CD Projekt Red is planning on releasing full paid expansions for The Witcher 3, the first releasing in October.
