Based on new marketing material obtained by charlieintel, the Black Ops 3 multiplayer beta will launch August 19 and close August 23, lasting just five days.
The marketing material explains, however, that the multiplayer beta will be “PlayStation exclusive”, and Activision have not made a statement about when the beta will reach Xbox One or PC, and Activision have stated that there will be no beta for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions of the game.
As for the exact contents of the beta, there has been no official statement yet, and with the only official word (from the Call of Duty website) being that “Specific details of what will be included in the Call of Duty: Black Ops III Beta will be released at a later date.”
You can reserve a spot in the beta by pre-ordering a copy of the game, but the $200 premium edition, which comes complete with a working mini-fridge, appears to have sold out already. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is set to release November 6, just in time for the holidays.
