Disney Infinity returns in another charming and addictive collectible installment, with Disney Interactive confirming 3.0 for launch in North America on August 30th; this is across consoles, PC and mobile.
The game comes with massively popular – frankly this has been the year of the Star Wars, with a movie, game and it’s addition to Disney Infinity – Star Wars characters in the Starter Pack, which comes in at $64.99. Among the characters included are Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker figures, as well as a code to unlock extra content on your PC and mobile.
Although the focus is largely on Star Wars (for the moment) there are a range of other sets launching with Disney Infinity 3.0:
- Star Wars™ Twilight of the Republic Play Set (Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano figures included) for players who choose to digitally download the Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition Software; additional standalone figures (Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi) and Power Disc Pack
- Star Wars Rebels™ figures (Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren, and Zeb Orrelios)
- Star Wars™ Saga Starter Pack
- Disney Pixar’s Inside Out Play Set (Joy and Anger figures included) and additional standalone figures (Sadness, Disgust and Fear)
- Disney figures (Mickey, Minnie, Mulan, Olaf, Sam Flynn and Quorra)
- Tomorrowland Power Disc Pack
Disney have confirmed that they’ll be releasing more sets in the fall; all the Disney Infinity figures from their previous games are compatible with the Disney Infinity 3.0 and the new expansions to the Toy Box mode.
For those who preorder Disney Infinity 3.0, you can get your hands on an early copy of Toy Box Takeover for free. This is an expansion to the Toy Box mode, allowing for a multiplayer experience with characters across Star Wars, Marvel, Disney and Pixar. Toy Box Takeover is available separately for $20.
Also on the way is Toy Box Speedway, coming out in fall too, which is a kart-racing style game inside Disney Infinity 3.0. Toy Box Speedway will be sold separately for $20. You’ll need the 3.0 game and base if you want to play either of these expansions, though.
I’ll leave you with the Hulkbuster, available in Toy box mode.
